[GA24-03] Health information for immigrants with little knowledge of German: A qualitative needs analysis

One of IQWiG’s legal responsibilities is to provide easily understandable health information for the general public. For this purpose, the Institute primarily uses the websites www.gesundheitsinformation.de and www.informedhealth.org for German and English language information respectively. However, information disseminated via the Internet does not reach all citizens equally. Socially disadvantaged people and people with a lower level of health literacy in particular are less likely to search for health information online. For these target groups other access channels, other formats and possibly also a different approach are required. For these reasons, in this general commission IQWiG analyses the needs of these target groups and their intermediaries.
