When assessing whether a routine practice data collection according to the GSAV is necessary for new drugs, the feasibility and appropriateness of data collection is also examined by the G-BA. A systematic search for registries in the respective therapeutic indication to be investigated supports the decision-making process. Once a month, the G-BA selects a therapeutic indication for the systematic search for registries and commissions IQWiG.
