Contributing the patients' perspective
Whether an examination or treatment method prolongs life, reduces symptoms or complications, or improves quality of life are key aspects of the benefit assessment. This is why we regularly ask about the patients' perspective in our report topics.
One way to do this is via the spokesperson of the G-BA's Coordination Committee of the Patient Representatives. Another way is the opportunity for patients to directly approach us at different stages of our work to contribute their perspective. The following table provides an overview of the opportunities of participation.
