In 2006 the German Health Research Council (GFR) and the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) jointly launched a scientific discussion forum on assessing benefit in health care.
The workshops, which take place annually, cover all aspects of assessing the benefit of medical interventions as well as the effects of these assessments on health care.
