Current and controversial aspects in medicine and health politics are regular topics at the annual Autumn Symposium organised by the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care.
The spectrum of speakers is usually as broad as the range of topics and includes epidemiologists and oncologists, as well as health economists and lawyers.
The exchange of experiences is not only limited to Germany. Speakers from France, Great Britain, Canada, Italy, Finland, and the Netherlands have been guests at the IQWiG Autumn Symposium over the past few years and have described perspectives and experiences in their own countries.
Since 2006 the speakers' presentations have also been available on the IQWiG website as audiovisual presentations and downloads.
